Privacy Policy
The Short Version
Owl Lattice does not collect, transmit, or sell your data. Your AI conversations, notes, files, and configuration stay on your machine. We have no servers to send it to, no analytics to feed, and no interest in changing that.
The only exception is our pre-launch waitlist on owllattice.com, where we collect an email address — and only an email address — from people who voluntarily ask us to notify them when the Owl is ready to fly. That's covered in detail in the Website & Waitlist section below.
What Owl Lattice Is
Owl Lattice is a desktop application made by ZGX Collective LLC. It provides a local workspace where you can access third-party AI services — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and others — side by side through their standard web interfaces. The Owl is a shell. It does not provide AI services itself.
Data the Desktop Application Does Not Collect
The Owl Lattice desktop application does not collect, access, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Your AI conversations, prompts, or responses
- Your personal information (name, email, location, etc.)
- Usage analytics, telemetry, or behavioral data
- Keystroke data, clipboard contents, or screen captures beyond your local session
- Authentication credentials for third-party services
We do not operate servers that receive data from the application. There is no "phone home." There is no account system. There is no cloud sync.
What Is Stored Locally
Owl Lattice stores the following data locally on your machine, encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM:
- Your Owl name — the name you choose during first-run setup
- Application preferences — font settings, panel layout, toggle states
- TALON workspace data — notes, clipboard history, and saved files you create within the app
- Session cookies — maintained by Chromium for your AI provider sign-ins (standard browser behavior)
- Terms of Service acceptance — a simple yes/no marker and the version number you accepted
This data lives in your operating system's standard application data directory. It never leaves your machine. You can delete it at any time using the "Clear the Nest" factory reset inside the app, or by removing the application data folder manually.
Clean Hands Architecture
Owl Lattice does not inject code into AI provider webviews, does not automate interactions, does not scrape or extract content from provider pages, and does not intercept or modify authentication flows. The Owl renders standard web interfaces. Your existing privacy settings, training opt-outs, and account configurations with each AI provider carry over exactly as they would in any Chromium-based browser.
Third-Party AI Services
When you use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or other services through Owl Lattice, your interactions with those services are governed by their respective privacy policies — not ours. Owl Lattice does not add any additional data collection, tracking, or transmission layer on top of what those providers already do.
You are responsible for reviewing and managing your privacy settings, data retention preferences, and training opt-outs directly with each provider.
Owl Post (Update Checking)
Owl Lattice checks for available updates by fetching a small, read-only JSON file from a GitHub Pages endpoint on launch. This request contains no user data, no device identifiers, and no tracking parameters. It is a standard HTTPS GET request. No information about you or your usage is transmitted. No cookies are set. There is no remote code execution — the app simply compares version numbers and shows a notification if an update is available.
Website & Waitlist
This section covers data collected through our website at https://www.owllattice.com. The website is a separate surface from the desktop application, and the two do not share data.
What we collect: If you join our pre-launch waitlist, we collect the email address you submit through the form. That's it. No name, no IP logging, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics scripts.
How it's collected: The waitlist form is processed by Netlify Forms, our website host. Submissions are stored in Netlify's dashboard and forwarded to us by email notification. Netlify's own privacy practices apply to the storage and transit of this data.
What we use it for: Exactly one thing — sending you launch updates and early-access information about Owl Lattice. We do not send marketing for unrelated products. We do not share your address with third parties. We do not sell email lists. Ever.
How long we keep it: Until you ask us to delete it, or until the public launch concludes and waitlist communications end — whichever comes first. If you become a customer, your address will then live in our normal customer records, governed by the Purchase and Payment Data section below.
How to opt out or request deletion: Reply "unsubscribe" to any waitlist email, or contact us at the email address in the Contact section below. We will remove your address within a reasonable timeframe. You can also ask us to confirm what we have on file, or to delete it entirely, through the same channel.
What this does not change about the app: Joining the waitlist has no connection to the desktop application's local-first architecture. If and when you install Owl Lattice, your installation does not "phone home" to associate itself with your waitlist email. The two systems are completely separate.
Purchase and Payment Data
Owl Lattice is sold through LemonSqueezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you purchase the Owl, LemonSqueezy handles your payment information, invoicing, tax collection, and transaction data under their own privacy policy. ZGX Collective does not receive or store your credit card number, billing address, or payment credentials. We receive only the information necessary to fulfill your order (such as a license key and email for delivery).

Children's Privacy
Owl Lattice is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through either the desktop application (which collects nothing) or the website waitlist (which collects only an email address voluntarily submitted). If you believe a child has submitted their email to our waitlist, contact us at the email address below and we will remove it promptly.
International Users
Owl Lattice is developed by ZGX Collective LLC, a Wyoming (USA) company. The desktop application stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit personal data to any server, so the typical cross-border data transfer concerns associated with cloud services do not apply to the app itself.
For website waitlist data, submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, which operates infrastructure in multiple jurisdictions. By submitting your email to the waitlist, you consent to its processing by Netlify and ZGX Collective for the purposes described in the Website & Waitlist section.
Your Rights
Because the Owl Lattice desktop application does not collect or store your personal data on any server, traditional data subject rights (access, deletion, portability) are already satisfied by the application's local-first design. Your application data is yours. It lives on your machine. You can view, export, or delete it at any time without contacting us.
If you use "Clear the Nest," all locally stored application data — including your Owl name, preferences, notes, files, clipboard history, and session cookies — is permanently erased.
For data submitted through the website (currently just the waitlist email), see the Website & Waitlist section above for how to access, modify, or delete your information. We honor reasonable requests regardless of your jurisdiction.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in the application or applicable law. Material changes will be noted with an updated version number and date at the top of this page. The current version of this policy is always available on our website.
